Bucket List
I have recently discovered a documentary show that MTV produces; The Buried Life. The reason it has taken me such a ridiculous amount of time to discover said show is for the following reasons; a) I do not have television b) I am not an Internet junkie *seriously* and c) I believe MTV is “artistically” infused teenage television, created for the enrichment of pocket books and not adolescent minds.
This show, The Burried Life is differnet. Essentally four friends with a bucket list and camera crew. Their opening is; “for every thing we cross off of our list, we help someone do something on theirs.” They travel North America, crossing things off their list and asking others along the way; “what do you want to do before you die?”
This show got me to thinking about what I want to do before I die. So I have started my own bucket list, although I only have sixty things my list grows day by day. My family and friends know I have a bit of an obsession with lists, so this was perfect for me.
Its not a new invention these “bucket lists”, but it was new to me. People have asked me what I want to do with my life, even more so as I am graduating, and I had always raddled off some instutionalized answer. That’s changed.
